An Open Letter To Our Donors

All of us at Tenaciously Teal are deeply grateful for and humbled by the time, effort and financial gifts you have so generously given to our mission. Because of your support and/or hard work as a volunteer, we have been able to reach out to more cancer fighters this year than ever before, touching them with the love, encouragement, and assistance they need to “Fight their best fight” in the face of cancer.

To remain worthy of the trust and faith you have placed in us and to practice total transparency, we want to disclose exactly where your money was spent and share all that your gifts and efforts enabled us to achieve:

– 7,000+ Cancer Care Packs Distributed

– $15,000,000 in Gas/Grocery Cards

– $20,000 in grants submitted by social work departments

– 20 Brave Shave or Empowerment Shoots

With heartfelt thanks for how far you have helped us come… and with eager anticipation and confidence in meeting the challenges ahead– we warmly invite you to stay a part of our T. Teal family, where you are valued and appreciated more than words can ever say.

Together, we can continue to make a difference as we “Share our Love” with loved ones, friends and others fighting cancer. Together, we can assure that no one feels alone or lacks the support and encouragement they need at this critical time in their lives.

This note is from Brad Smicklas, General Manager at Hudiburg Subaru and cancer survivor,  and helps us to realize just how important our work truly is.

“I was diagnosed with tonsillar cancer in January of 2017. I never had anyone on either side of my family have cancer so I was very scared! My first tests showed the cancer was only in my tonsils but with a PET scan, it was determined the cancer had moved into my lymph node as well. This meant the 35 radiation treatment plan originally discussed would not be enough. Chemotherapy was needed as well for the best chance of success. This is when I met Tarah through a mutual friend! I received a care package while going through my treatment one day. I looked around the room at how the packages put a smile on everyone in the rooms face! At such a scary time, it is a ray of light to receive such a thoughtful package from someone you don’t know but who knows what it takes to fight! I am now 32 months with no evidence of disease!

I hope no one ever has to receive a care package from Tarah for this horrible disease! But, if you do, know this… it was made from the heart with a lot of love and prayers! And no one should have to fight this fight alone!”

With love and deepest appreciation,

Tarah Warren
